About Just Giving Hope Consultancy

Get to know who we are

We support people when changes in mental health, mood or everyday routines begin to affect how safe or stable life feels.

Who we are
Support that starts with understanding

Just Giving Hope Consultancy takes the time to know the person behind the situation. What matters to you and the pace that feels manageable are part of the conversation from the beginning.

We work with you, not in place of you, with respect for your dignity, abilities and the way you want to live your life.

The aim is to help with what feels difficult today while giving you more opportunity to take an active role in the decisions that affect you.

What sets us apart
Meet Our Founder, Amanda Hynds

MA-FBS, GD-FBS, BSW, AMHSW (AASW)

I’m the Founder and CEO of Just Giving Hope Consultancy, an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker with a Master’s in Forensic Behavioural Science and almost 20 years experience.

I created Just Giving Hope, an NDIS, DVA and Private service organisation who provide compassionate, meaningful support for people and families navigating disability, mental health and complex needs. Through Respite, STA, Positive Behaviour Support and Therapy, we focus on the person first — their strengths, their goals, their choices and their story.

Just Giving Hope Consultancy is built on a simple belief: Sometimes, all someone needs is a little hope — and someone who believes in them.

What sets us apart
Our mental health expertise

Led by an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker, we bring almost 20 years of experience in adult mental health, including more complex situations across hospital, community and forensic settings.

Our background also includes complex behaviours, risk, advocacy and education. When several factors are affecting a situation at once, this experience helps us look at what is happening as a whole and recognise what may need attention first.

We also consider what is already helping you, so the approach can build on strengths that are already there.

How we help you
Supporting your today, empowering your tomorrow

Our approach does not stop at what you need in the moment. It also helps you recognise what makes a difference for you and the tools you can use again if other difficulties arise.

Over time, you can learn to recognise certain emotions and situations more easily, and feel better equipped to deal with them.

Support today, empower tomorrow means helping you today in a way that can still be useful tomorrow.

When you’re ready, we’re here

If stress, emotions or everyday life are becoming harder to manage, tell us what’s happening and what you’d like to change. We can help you look at the options and help you decide what feels right for you.
